Basement Cleanouts in Doraville

A basement holds years of things nobody has looked at closely. We start by walking it with you, pointing out what is damp, heavy or awkward to move, and giving you a clear plan before anything leaves your home.

A cleared basement, starting with a careful look

A basement cleanout is more than hauling boxes. Cardboard softens in humid air, old furniture picks up mildew, and the stairs set the pace for everything that comes out. We look at all of it first, then tell you plainly what we found and how we would handle it.

Some customers want the whole space emptied before a sale or renovation. Others just want the storage corner back. Either way, you choose what stays, and we only take what you point to.

We have been doing this work since 2021, and we are licensed and insured, which matters when crews are carrying heavy pieces up narrow steps and through your home.

What a basement cleanout includes

A walk-through before we lift anything
We go through the basement with you, note fragile finishes along the stairwell and doorways, and flag items that need special handling. You hear our findings before you hear a price.
Damp and mildewed boxes
Wet cardboard tears when lifted. We bag or re-box soft containers so the contents do not spill on your floors or stair treads on the way out.
Furniture, exercise gear and old electronics
Sofas, treadmills, bed frames and dead TVs are the usual heavy pieces. If something is too large for the stairs, we talk with you about careful disassembly first. For bigger single items, our furniture removal page covers more detail.
Utility-room leftovers
Old dehumidifiers, spare freezers and retired water softeners often live near the mechanicals. We work around your furnace and water heater without disturbing them, and appliance removal covers the larger units.
Sweep-out when the room is empty
Once the last load is out, we sweep the floor so you can see the concrete or carpet clearly and spot any moisture marks worth watching.

When a basement needs clearing

  • A damp smell that sticks around

Paper, cloth and cardboard soak up moisture. Getting them out is often where a drier basement begins.

  • The furnace or panel is blocked

When boxes crowd the furnace, water heater or electrical panel, technicians and inspectors struggle to do their work.

  • A sale or finishing project is ahead

Buyers, contractors and inspectors need open floor. An empty basement also reveals the real state of the walls and floor.

  • Moving boxes still sit taped shut

Boxes unopened for years usually mean the contents can leave. Anything you want to check first, we can put aside.

What goes into a basement cleanout price

The price tracks how much we take and how hard it is to carry out. We go over each point on the walk-through, so the upfront number has no hidden fees behind it.

How much there is

Truck space is what matters most. A few boxes in a corner and a basement filled wall to wall are far apart.

Stairs and the way out

A walkout door goes faster than a slim inside staircase with a turn. Tight stairs slow down every heavy item.

Heavy pieces and taking apart

Pianos, exercise machines and old sleeper sofas need extra people, and some have to come apart to fit up the stairs.

State of the contents

Wet or moldy items have to be bagged and handled carefully, which takes more labor than dry, closed boxes.

How the day runs

  1. 1

    Inspection and plain findings

We walk the basement and the path out, measure tight turns, and point out anything wet, broken or difficult. Then we give you a clear, upfront price with no hidden fees.

  2. 2

    Protecting the route

Before carrying, we pad the stair edges and corners where heavy items will pass. If your basement walks out to the yard, we often use that door to keep traffic out of your living space.

  3. 3

    Careful removal

Items come out in a planned order, lightest first in tight spaces, so the path stays clear. Anything you marked to keep stays exactly where it is.

  4. 4

    Sweep and final look

We sweep the floor and walk the room with you once more so you can confirm nothing was missed.

Questions about basement cleanouts

Should I sort things before the crew comes?

No need. Show us what stays and what leaves on the walk-through and we take it from there. If you would like to look through some boxes first, we will put them aside.

Will you take items soaked by a leak?

Usually, yes. Wet boxes, rugs and furniture turn up in a lot of basements, and we bag them so nothing drips on the way through the house. If something needs other handling, we will say so.

What about old paint and chemicals?

Liquid paint and some chemicals often cannot go in a regular load. We flag them on the inspection and go over your choices, so nothing catches you off guard on job day.

When can you get here?

We offer same-day and next-day service, depending on our calendar when you call. The on-site estimate is free, with no obligation.

Do you clear basements outside Doraville?

We do. Besides Doraville, we work in Dunwoody, Chamblee, Tucker, Norcross and the other nearby towns on our service areas page.
